Joy is a feeling of great happiness or pleasure, especially of an elevated or spiritual kind. It is the ability to live and act positively even in the face of contradiction. It is the effrontery to say there is a lifting up when others say there is a casting down. Joy is part of the fruit of the spirit. Proverbs 17:22 "sorrow dries the bone, but joy does good like medicine".It therefore implies that for you to live in health you must always be joyful. Your joy should not be a factor of your present circumstances but should be hinged on the knowledge that God loves you and his thoughts for you continually are thoughts of peace, Jeremiah 29:11. Inspite of ugly situations that would
ordinary steal joy from your heart, you should remain joyful knowing that all things work together for good to them that love God, Rom8:28.

Living in joy is a kingdom foundation. Isaiah 12:3 the provision of salvation can only be accessed by joy.
